Could you be Guard of Honour for Somerset CCC?

We have a competition open to Dorset affiliated clubs, and the winner will have the privilege to send 14-16 children to perform the Guard of Honour for the Somerset match detailed below:

Date: July 12th

Match: Somerset vs Sussex Sharks

Start Time: 18:30

Please see below for full information of the day:

  • 30 Tickets provided for the group with between 14-16 children to perform the guard of honour. No parking available I’m afraid so external car parks would need to be used. Tickets can be collected on the day or posted out in advance
  • Meet at the Centre of Excellence for 17:30pm to meet a member of SCF staff for a run through of the Guard of Honour duties
  • 18:15pm-18.30pm – perform Guard of Honour on the pitch prior to the start of the match
  • Reserved seats in the family enclosure for your group of up to 30.

Please note that in the event of poor weather it may not be possible to complete the guard of honour.

How to Enter

To enter the competition, we are asking clubs to submit an inspiring and motivational video about their club. This video should be placed on the club's social media platforms as a tool to advertise their club, with Dorset Cricket tagged into the post.

We would also request that a link to the posted video is sent into Message Greg Parsons with details of the lead contact for the club, including an email and phone number, so we can make contact after the winner has been selected.

The deadline for videos to be submitted is the 9th June at 10pm.

The winning club will be selected by the Dorset Cricket Community team the week commencing the 10th June.
